Late in 2004, as we begin putting this project together, we searched high and low but did not find any evidence of anyone actively using the name "Bordertown" in Southern California, so in the spring of 2005 we launched as "Bordertown". In the winter of 2005 the San Diego Troubadour ran a wonderful article about our history and our musical project.
We are now known as Telegraph Canyon Band; a change we made at the request of a local musician. We feel that Telegraph Canyon Band, as did "Bordertown", reflects our roots as native sons of San Diego and our love of the great country rock movement that grew up in Southern California in the 1970's.
We are quite proud of the Troubadour article presented here for your enjoyment. Since we are the same group of people, playing the same great music, we would like you to think of "Telegraph Canyon" whenever you see the name "Bordertown".
